Welcome to St.Alban’s Episcopal Church!

You are invited to be our guest any time we open the doors to St.Alban’s.

Bible & Biscuits

Bible & Biscuits will meet every Tuesday at 7:00 am in the conference room.

The Great Jelly Jar Homecoming

It’s again time for the Great Jelly Jar Homecoming. If you have one or two Mason or Ball jelly jars hanging around the house, bring them to church so we may reuse them for the Antique Show. Jars may be dropped off on Sunday or during the week.  If you are a jelly maker or pickle maker let us know if you’d like some of the recycled jars.

The Giving Path

We have started our stewardship season. You should be receiving a letter and a statement for estimated giving in the mail. We will also have estimated giving cards in the office and at the back of church. The Giving Path is a journey to share in the cheerful generosity of God. Each of us has a place on the path, and I would ask you to prayerfully consider where God is calling you to be on the giving path. Thank you for your generosity and giving that has helped St. Alban’s thrive.

Christmas Pageant

Children of all ages are invited to participate in the annual Christmas Pageant which will be held during the 10:30 am service on Sunday, December 22. Rehearsals for the pageant are during Children’s Chapel on Sunday, December 8 and December 15.

Fourth Annual Las Chicas "Favorite Thing" Party December 8

Las Chicas will hold the 4th Annual “Favorite Thing” gathering on Sunday, December 8 at

5:00 pm in the ROC.  We will have a “Favorite Thing” exchange! Bring five of your same favorite thing valued at no more than $5 apiece. You’ll show it us and explain to us why it’s your favorite thing. We will then draw numbers and your five things will be given away! You will also go home five other Chica’s favorite things! Be creative – your favorite thing may cost NOTHING and could be a trimming from your favorite plant, your favorite cookie, cake or dip with recipe, your favorite beverage, beauty item, organizational piece, magazine, book, or a collection of your favorite poems, music or scripture. This is NOT an event to spend lots of money on, just a way to share the things we love with the people we love! Please bring an appetizer or dessert and beverage of choice (we will provide water). NOTE: If you would rather not participate in the “Favorite Thing” exchange, or simply don’t have the time to shop, please join us anyway! Call Carly Thomas, 873-3133, or the church office, 428-2305, with any questions.

Poinsettia Orders

To the Glory of God and for the beauty of our church, poinsettias will be placed on the altar at Christmas. Poinsettia order forms will be available in the church bulletin or the church office. Deadline to turn orders in is Monday, December 16. Poinsettias are $10 each and all donations will be listed in the Christmas bulletin insert.

Boys & Girls Club Christmas Bag Collection

For many years we have collected the following items that are distributed by the Boys & Girls Club to families at Le Moyne Gardens: shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste, 3-packs of paper towels, 12-packs of toilet paper, boxes of granola bars, socks, baby wipes, a blanket, and family-friendly board or card games. Please drop these items off in the church lounge by December 12. These items are very specifically picked by the Boys & Girls Club, so please follow this list. These bags are for families, so no travel-sized items, please.  Thank you for your generosity!

2020 Altar Flowers

We are preparing our schedule for flower arrangements for the year 2020 and ask that you get your request in as soon as possible, so that you may get the date or dates that you prefer. The cost for each arrangement is $65 for a regular Sunday and $75 for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter arrangements. No flowers are placed on the altar during the Lenten season-February 26 through April 9, 2020…Easter is April 12, 2020. If you did not receive an altar flower form in the mail, additional forms are available in the bulletin insert beginning this Sunday, November 24, in the back of the church, in the church office. Please make checks payable to St. Elizabeth’s Altar Guild.
